The story of Maddie & Me began when my family lived in London, where I first discovered Liberty fabrics. Inspired by the beautiful floral prints, I began sewing handmade bows for my young daughter, Madeline, who always wore one in her hair. What started as a love for working with exquisite fabrics and creating bows to wear on our adventures soon evolved after our family moved to Chicago, where I searched for a headband that was as comfortable as it was beautiful. When I couldn't find one, I returned to my sewing machine and began designing my own.

What started with bows for my daughter has grown into a collection of thoughtfully handcrafted headbands designed to become everyday heirlooms. We carefully select every Liberty print, silk and linen for its beauty, quality and timeless appeal, then handcraft each piece in small batches with the same care and attention that inspired the very first bow.
