Next Event: Markets for Makers {Artifact Events 4325 N Ravenswood Ave, Chicago, IL} October 23-24 10AM-5PM Saturday 11AM-5PM Sunday

Maddie and Me Handmade was established in 2015 by Kelley as an American expat living in London.

After spending the first year in London going on adventures & traveling in Europe, her daughter Madeline {also called Maddie} started nursery school.

Kelley discovered Liberty of London on Regent Street as she was searching for fabric to make a bunting for Madeline’s third birthday party. The beautiful Liberty print fabrics set things in motion.

Kelley loved being a stay-at-home mom but she craved something more. As a former Elementary school teacher, she had always been a creative person and loved making hair accessories for her daughter.

In the shop you’ll find a range of bows and headbands for newborns, babies and girls. Opt. for reversible alligator clips or nylon one size-fits-most headbands that are soft and grow with your baby. Boys are not forgotten - there are sweet bow ties for babies, boys and older guys, which add the perfect touch to a special outfit!

Liberty of London prints and Rifle Paper Co. fabrics dominate, with lovely additions of chambray, linen and other designer cotton prints. Each gorgeous bow is cut, sewn, pressed, hand-tied and secured with care. Kelley sews through each hand-tied bow so that it doesn't come undone.

As of July 2019, Kelley & her family moved back stateside and Chicago, IL became home. She runs the business from home, working around bringing up her two children ages 4 & 9.
